I bought a handful of the silica gel packs for this case, and then put all my papers in it. I know that even during a basement flood or tornado, this thing will probably survive. I have a bunch of Pelican cases. I tested some of the smaller ones in my bathtub, and was pleasantly surprised. Not even a drop of water makes it past the O-ring seal. If you really want to protect something, get a Pelican case. They are made in USA and I sincerely hope they never change that, or I will likely begin buying something else. I'll pay extra for the unmatched quality of these cases. They can't be beat.

If needed to be tough enough to withstand being transported by vehicle, airline, in a ruck, and on an ATV.It also houses other electronic equipment that is sensitive to the elements so it needed to be able to protect the contents from rain and dust as well. Well made, heavy duty, and worth the investment.
