Very relaible protection, July 3, 2008 By This review is from: Pelican 1300 Case with Foam for Camera (Orange) (Electronics) The Pelican cases are very reliable and protective to valuable but delicate items. I'm using this 1300 case to store and transport my US$600 SIGMA macro lens.
Perfect, and colour is so sharp and won't lose attention from any junk of luggages.
Don't forget the lock!!!

This Pelican 1300 served my purpose perfectly. I had only the kit lens, but for any kind of telephoto or bigger lens, you'll need a bigger Pelican case.

I set it up tonight, heading out tomorrow for 4th of July holiday. I like everything about this case, especially the sturdiness and the easy way to remove the "Pick n Pluck" foam pieces. They are small enough to make fitment easy.
Got my Nikon Coolpix 820 in it, filter adapter, hood, and 2 filters in it. Also an extra set of batteries, lens cleaning tool, microfiber wipe, and extra SD card. I was even able to accommodate the neck strap.
I would have liked level 2 to be a level 2 and 3 so I didn't have to go so deep, but my first time. So I just siliconed some pieces back in the bottom and got the effect and protection I needed.
Be sure you measure very carefully and they have some measuring ideas on the Pelican web site.
I searched and searched and could not find any product close to this.
